The Stained Glass was donated to Women's Words, Inc. by New View Art Glass.
Proceeds will be given to Women's Words, Inc. for Charities. I was
inspired to do this stained glass when Laverne Brown first gave me one of her
original paintings. Her artwork (displayed next to the stained glass) captures
the beauty of not only wonderful blended colors but of detail and skill.
The Fuchsia is an example of that beauty and was in turn a pleasing piece of
stained glass for me to complete. A good friend and credit of my work
described it as, "CAPTIVATING AND GORGEOUS". The picture does not
capture the beauty of this piece crafted from variegated glass of different
textures and blends. Depending on lighting behind the glass, it changes
depth, dimension and beauty. Though when hung in a window, the natural
light is wonderful through the glass, yet my favorite way of displaying it to
sit it on an easel or prop it up with a light behind it. This method
of display is not only enchanting but is mystifying when displayed.
Measures 16 1/2" X 20 1/4" . The red/plum colored glass is
Oceana Art Glass.
The green/amber glass is Uroboros. The background is a granite
textured with
a rainbow of colors. Frame is zinc with a black/gray patina.

The LATIN
DANCERS was
painted by Laverne Kindred Brown. 100% of the high bid on this charitable
donation goes to charity. It is a tax-deductible donation. The passion and
physical freedom of the Latin Dancers is captured in this vibrant 16" X
20" acrylic canvas. It is framed in a simple, black 3 1/2" frame that
'lifts' the painting away from the wall and accentuates the subject.
